Job Details
The successful incumbent will be entitled to a level five salary which is worth R 163 563 annually plus benefits. He/she will be stationed at the Central Office. In order to be eligible, candidates are required to be in possession of at least a Grade 12 certificate or its equivalent qualification. Furthermore, it is also required to have one year of working experience in Facilities and Infrastructure or Supply Chain Administration. Applicants must also have a valid driver’s license.
The inherent requirements for the Senior Administration Clerk vacancy at uMfolozi TVET College are as follows:
- Knowledge of the Public Sector Supply Chain Management and its legislative as well as regulatory framework
- Sound knowledge of contracting concepts as well as Facilities and Infrastructure
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Ability to draft simple contractual instruments in line with prescribed templates and guidelines
- Proven computer literacy
- Administration and project management skills
Job Desks:
- Engage in budget preparation of the maintenance program by involving all stakeholders in the College
- Facilitate the Annual College Maintenance program
- Consolidate the yearly college maintenance program according to its high priority backlog maintenance program
- Render facilities condition audit on college-owned facilities annually
- Estimate every year college’s backlog maintenance liability
- Identify maintenance priorities by assigning priority rating next to them
- Keep the best standard possible while meeting statutory obligations
- Make sure that basic facilities, such as heating and water, are well maintained
- Make sure that facilities meet the regulated standards
- Help sites to move to new offices and make recommendations to management
- Define the terms and conditions for the renting out and hiring out of college facilities
- Monitor building projects, refurbishments and renovations
- Render secretariat duties
- Maintain and administer both staff and student members’ accommodation leases
