SAPS Internship Programme in 10 Divisions

The South African Police Service (SAPS) is now inviting South African unemployed who meet the requirements to participate in 12 months internship programme at 9 Divisions. The internship programme also called as Graduate Recruitment Scheme is part of the National Human Resource Development Strategy and the National Skills Development Strategy. Successful candidates will be signed a 12-month contract and receive a monthly stipend.

Requirements

General Requirements:

  • Applicants must be 18 – 35 ages;
  • Applicants must be a South African citizens;
  • Applicants must be in possession of National Senior Certificate or equivalent (NCV L4);
  • Applicants have no criminal records previously;
  • Applicants must be unemployed and have not participated in a similar internship programme previously;
  • Applicants must be residents in the provinces they are applying for;
  • Applicants can apply for a maximum of three posts and complete application forms separately for each post reference number.

Application

To apply for SAPS Internship Programme, applicants must fill and submit an official application form (get it here) and follow the instructions on the application form. If you don’t follow the instructions, your applications will be rejected.

  • The post particulars and reference number must be correctly indicated on the application form;
  • A CV must be submitted including the application form and proof of residence;
  • Certified copies of an applicant’s ID, Senior Certificate and also all education qualifications must be submitted and attached to the application. Certified copies must not be older than three months. Applications by email/fax will be NOT considered. Certificate of qualifications will be accepted without a statement of results;
  • All short-listed candidates will be subjected to fingerprint screening;
  • Applications must be submitted before the closing date. Late applications will be rejected;
  • Short-listed applicants can be expected to go through an interview. Shortlisted applicants may be subjected to the security clearance;
  • Successful applicants only will be contacted. If you have not been contacted within two months after the closing date that means your application was unsuccessful;
  • The SAPS Internship participants may not be a guarantee to be a permanent employees.
