This funding is available for students who plan to pursue either a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in various fields of study. Description
The Oasis group is a fund management operation that operates internationally. It was established in 1997 and the company’s products are categorized into 3 aspects: Pre-retirement products (retirement fund, preservation pension fund, retirement annuity fund and preservation provident fund); saving products (collective and endowment investment schemes); post-retirement products (pension annuity). The Oasis group is based in Cape Town but it operates across South Africa. It has offices in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town as well as abroad in Ireland.

The successful candidates are required to take part in the Vacation Work program. Upon graduation, students will also take up employment at the Oasis Group for the same amount of time that they received the bursary adding one extra year. Applicants must meet all the following minimum eligibility criteria before applying:
- Must be South African citizen
- Must intend or be studying as a full time student in one of the available fields of study
- Must intend or be studying at a recognised university in South Africa
How to Apply
Applications for the Oasis bursary program for South African students 2018-2019 will be accepted until August 21st 2018.
Students can commence their application by downloading and completing this application form. Additionally, students must also submit clear copies of these supporting documents:
- Certified copy of ID document
- Color photo (passport size). Attach the photo to the top right corner of the first page
- Certified copy of full academic record from Grade 10 to present for current matric students
- Certified copy of full academic certificates and transcripts to date (including A level, matric, O level/bachelors, Master’s, Honours and PhD)
- Preliminary or acceptance letter from your selected tertiary institute
- Loan or bursary agreement
- Evidence of household monthly income
- Evidence of any dependents
- Tax invoice detailing the tertiary institute fees
- Testimonial if applicable from one of these: principal, teacher, lecturer, faculty dean
- Medical certificates
- CV
- Monthly budget stating expenses and income
- Recommendation letter from a parent/guardian (not compulsory)
- 2 minute video (instructions can be found on the application form)
Should applicants be unable to submit a supporting document, they must explain the reason behind it. Students must also state when the outstanding documents will be submitted.

All applicants will receive confirmation of their submission in two weeks, if you do not receive any acknowledgement, contact the Bursary officer via this number: 021 413 7860. The successful candidates will be notified by December 31st 2018 at the latest. The qualified incumbents who wrote their Matric exams in 2018 will receive notifications of the results as soon as possible after final matric results are received.
