Description
The North West Provincial Government is one of the South African Government departments. They are responsible for providing leadership for coordinate, efficient and integrated service delivery which will enable the development and growth of the province as well as its residents. The other departments of this provincial government include: Public Works and Roads; Health; Local Government and Human Settlements; Rural, Environment an Agricultural Development; Education and Sports Development; Finance, Economy and Enterprise Development; Community Safety and Transport Management; Tourism; Culture, Arts and Traditional Affairs; Social Development.
This year, the North West Provincial Government intends to support high achieving students who lack financial means to pursue their degree or diploma studies. The bursary program is offered in the following study programs:

Correspondence for the North West Provincial Government bursary call 2019 will be limited to shortlisted students. In case you haven’t received any notifications in 4 months after the deadline, please regard your application as unsuccessful.
Suitability criteria
- Be a South African citizen residing in the North West Province
- Be no older than 35 years old
- Unemployed
- Currently in matric or have completed matric
- Intend on studying or currently studying as a full time student in one of the fields mentioned above at a recognised tertiary institution
- Good academic record
- Have proven financial need

Your application form must be accompanied by the following supporting documents that are just as mandatory:
- Certified copy of ID document
- Certified copy of matric certificate (if completed matric) or matric latest results (if still in matric), or latest academic record (for tertiary students). If the certificate or academic record isn’t available yet, submit it by January 10, 2019 to bursaries@nwpg.gov.za
- Certified copy of proof of university acceptance. If isn’t available yet, submit it by January 10, 2019 to bursaries@nwpg.gov.za
