Mecer has established a strong partnership with Service SETA, EWSETA, and MICT SETA to offer nine learnerships to individuals looking to advance their skills and careers in various industries. Service SETA, as a facilitator of skills development, provides learning opportunities through learnerships, skills programmes, internships, and other learning programmes. EWSETA, the skills development authority for the energy and water sectors, and MICT SETA, responsible for skills development in the fields of Advertising, Film and Electronic Media, Electronics, Information Technology and Telecommunications, round out the collaboration to offer learnerships in a range of industries. These learnerships will provide valuable hands-on experience and training to individuals looking to grow their skills and pursue their professional goals.

Mecer x Service SETA Learnership

Mecer, in collaboration with Service SETA, is proud to offer a FETC: New Venture Creation NQF Level 2 Learnership. The purpose of this qualification is to provide a comprehensive learning experience for potential and existing entrepreneurs, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to start and grow sustainable businesses that can thrive within the mainstream economy. With a duration of 12 months, the learnership covers both theoretical and practical aspects of entrepreneurship and requires English and Mathematics Literacy at NQF L3 (Grade 11).

Mecer x EWSETA Learnership

Mecer, in partnership with EWSETA, offers 3 exciting learnerships for individuals looking to advance their skills and careers in the energy sector. The learnerships are:

1.GETC: General Technical Practice NQF Level 1

To be eligible for the GETC: General Technical Practice NQF Level 1 learnership, individuals must possess Mathematical Literacy at ABET Level 3 and Communication at ABET Level 3.

2. NC: Energy Regulation Electrical NQF Level 5

For the NC: Energy Regulation Electrical NQF Level 5 learnership, the qualifications required are Communication at NQF Level 4 and Mathematics at NQF Level 4

3. NC: Hot water System Installation NQF Level 2

Hot water System Installation NQF Level 2 learnership requires a National Certificate: Plumbing L2 (or equivalent), Mathematical literacy at NQF Level 3, and Communication at NQF Level 3.

These learnerships provide valuable hands-on experience and training in various areas of the energy sector, positioning individuals for success in their chosen careers.

Mecer has partnered with MICT SETA to offer 5 learnerships in the field of Information Technology. The learnerships are:

  1. FETC: Information Technology: Technical Support NQF Level 4
  2. FETC: Information Technology: Systems Development NQF Level 4
  3. NC: Information Technology: End User Computing NQF Level 3
  4. NC: Information Technology: Systems Development NQF Level 5
  5. NC: Information Technology: Systems Support NQF Level 5
