Job Description

Continental is a famous tyre company that has facilities spread in 56 countries all over the world. This manufacturer always places importance in offering a dynamic environment and compelling tasks for innovative and smart individuals to bring ideas to life. Right now, it has over 227,000 employees and their facility that is situated in Port Elizabeth, South Africa is offering a Graduate-In-Training program. You will have 12 month of opportunity to be involved in this development program. The successful candidates for the Graduate-In-Training program at Continentals will be rotated among many departments and have the chance to develop their skills in manufacturing, sales, and business processes. All candidates will be assigned to a wide range of projects in order to gain first-hand experience of the organizational structures, products and processes offered by the company.

Every qualified incumbent will be assigned a mentor that will help and guide them as well as support them throughout the development program. After the 12 month program is up, all candidates could progress to many talent pools or even possibly a permanent position.

Requirements:

In order to be qualified for this development program, you first must make sure that you fulfill all the eligibility criteria below in order to be considered.

  • This development program is not limited to specific individuals. This program is available to all South African citizens. However, it should be noted that the requirements are subject to change. It differs every year depending on the need of the business.
  • Candidates must have tertiary qualification with 70% academic average. Usually, the company recruit graduates who are in possession of bachelor degree or diplomas in one of the following field:
  • Law
  • Quality
  • Logistics
  • Industrial psychology or human resources
  • Polymer technology
  • Industrial engineering
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Economics or business management
  • Communications or PR
  • Information technology
  • Controlling or finance
  • Sales and marketing
  • Operation management
  • Electrical engineering
  • Mechatronics
