This vacant position is available within the Human Resource Administration directorate within the Department of E-Government, located in Johannesburg. The Assistant Director position offers an attractive level 9 salary amounting to R 356 289 per annum plus benefits.

The Department of E-Government requires candidates to have either one of the following qualifications:

  • Matric plus 6 to 7 years of HR experience, or
  • Matric plus relevant Degree or National Diploma with 3 to 5 years of HR experience

Other requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license (not a compulsory but would be an added advantage)
  • Persal experience
  • Basic termination experience
  • Computer literacy

Key Performance Areas:

Once you are qualified for the Assistant Director vacancy at Department of E-Government, you will be involved in but not limited to the following duties:

  • Be responsible for administering termination of services, discounting or leave gratuity and service bonus as well as pension withdrawal for the Gauteng Provincial Government
  • Be responsible for ensuring compliance and giving advice on regulations and legislation governing termination of service as well as pension benefits (PSR Acts)
  • Be responsible for managing relations with all stakeholders
  • Be responsible for resolving complex as well as sensitive termination on the cases
  • Be responsible for supporting, managing, mentoring and leading HR termination practitioners
  • Be responsible for managing performance of the team
  • Be responsible for ensuring compliance with SLA’s by the team
  • Be responsible for enforcing quality improvements in the performance processes and services
  • Be responsible for generating management reports for GPG Departments on SLA achievement for leave gratuity, terminations and discounting as well as pension withdrawals
  • Be responsible for conducting training on employee exits processes to GPG employees as well as potential retirees
  • Be responsible for managing and administering the exit interview reports to GPG departments
  • Be responsible for performing any other additional responsibilities as allocated by the manager
