If you want to take part in the development of women role in the society as well as the community, then you should consider about applying for Women for Change program. This is a program that is designed and built to help women understand their own strength and ability, as well as giving them the chance to give back (to the community). With the program, women empowerment is possible and everyone is welcomed to join.

About the Program

Women for Change is about empowering women so they can contribute, and even make, changes. The program was initially known as Women in Rental Stock before the name was changed to its current title.

The idea of creating the program is to let women know their strength, their role, and their important contribution for the society and the community. Those who have taken part in the program have come out as powerful and confident individuals. They are empowered with the knowledge, skills, and insight on how to assist the log service requests in relation to the upkeep of streets and buildings. They also have the ability to provide help to others, including the home-based care offer and services for the elderly. They also know how to link domestic violence victims and substance abusers with the relevant services.

In the end, these women come out strong, skillful, and confident. This is definitely great – this is the type of outcome expected from the program.

How the Program Works

In order to fund the Women for Change program and empower these women, around R28 million have been allocated for the program in last year alone. The number was able to 1,500 women –giving them the opportunity to access raining and tools to contribute a positive cause to the communities. They can also make a difference not only to themselves but also to other people.

Women are employed through EPWP (Expanded Public Works Program), a program where they get the education and training in various fields, areas, and subjects.

If you are interested in applying for the EPWP via Cape Town City, the requirements are:
