Duties

Specifically, being a junior lecturer has quite similar duties and responsibilities than lecturer. Hence, these will be what you will be responsible for.

  • Coordinating and/or presenting Laboratory Practice III and Clinical Laboratory Practice III/IV for the study programme of Biomedical Technology and Medical Laboratory Science respectively
  • Lecturing theory and presenting laboratory practical at undergraduate levels for Medical Laboratory Science I & II, Cytology, and/or other modules as assigned
  • Applying industry appropriate technology used in medical diagnostic laboratories and in research
  • Developing relationships with government, industry, and professional bodies
  • Enhancing personal development and participating in departmental research projects and also publications
  • Performing departmental, programme, and/or faculty administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department

Requirements

  • Having the Bachelor of Technology or Honours Biomedical Technology is compulsory
  • The applicants must have the minimum of one year diagnostic medical laboratory experience as a Medical Technologist and one year lecturing experience
