Duties

• Being responsible for ensuring that instruments and equipment received are in good order and complete
• Cleaning, packing, and also autoclaving various toweling, gowns, and small packs
• Handling cooled down items for packing in sterile store area effectively

• Performing duties as required

• Ensuring a clean and secure environment for patients and personnel including cleaning and dusting wards, bathrooms, kitchens, offices, floors, and windows
• Disposing medical and general waste from the wards
• Managing dirty linens
• Collecting and returning food trolleys
• Serving meals, tea, coffee, and also water to the patients
• Cleaning, managing, and controlling cutlery and crockery

• Unpacking consumables and clean linen

Requirements

• Having Grade 12 or equivalent qualification is the minimum requirement
• Having background in health care will be an advantage
• The applicants must have good interpersonal relations and communication skills

• Being able to work in a team and under pressure is compulsory
