Road Accident Fund company at Johannesburg, South Africa, is offering a full time program of LLB/Law Internship for qualified and potential candidates. Through the program, participants are encouraged to achieve knowledge and practical experience that can increase their skills and qualifications for their future growth.

About the Program

Set up as Claims Internship, this LLB/Law Internship program is offered by the company for the unemployed graduates who are looking forward to enrich their working experience. Since the program will last for 12 months (1 year), candidates are expected to reach the qualifications needed to succeed in the future.

The candidates will likely get work-based exposure that includes:

General office administration, data capturing, and filing related to the claims administration process

  • External stakeholder engagement, such as consulting with claimants’ families, road shows, etc
  • Claims finalization, such as file closure, payments, and legal cost
  • Claims litigation, such as panel management, writ, and summons
  • Claims determination, such as represented claims and merits investigation and assessment
  • Claims origination, such as validation and verification of new claims, registration of new claims, or customer service center
  • Direct claims, such as direct claims processing, supplier claims, and mobile RAF

The Requirements

There are several general requirements that all candidates must meet if they want to be considered eligible for the LLB/Law Internship program. The requirements include:

  • The candidates must be the citizens of South Africa
  • They must have completed Grade 12 or Matric
  • They must have Matric certificate or NQF Level 4 certificate
  • They must have a certified copy of Advanced Diploma or Relevant Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Law
  • They must not have any criminal record
  • They must be in between 18 and 35 years old
  • They must be unemployed
  • They must have never been employed within the field posted or required
  • They must never have participated in any internship program before within the relevant fields posted
  • They must never serve as an intern previously
  • Candidates with foreign qualifications must be evaluated by SAQA (South African Qualification Authority) and they must also provide the proof of the evaluation

How to Apply

The application should be sent through email. When candidates are sending their application, they need to mention the Reference Number of CDC17012020JHB on the subject line. Be advised that candidates who don’t mention the reference number won’t be considered.

Besides the application letter, they also need to provide the supporting documents that include a short but updated CV as well as a motivational letter containing the reasons why they should be accepted for the program.

Other documents include a certified copy of ID document, a certified copy of Matric certificate, certified copies of qualifications or academic transcripts or certificates. The motivational letter shouldn’t be more than 3 pages. They also must include academic transcripts – without these documents, the applications would be ignored and disregarded. Candidates must be aware that they need to submit complete application.
