Police Learnership Programme Requirements
This is the important part of the job advertisement. To apply for this Police Learnership Programme, you must meet the requirements listed here. What does this mean? It means that you must meet those requirements before you can be considered for the programme. Each requirement is very important.
- The City invites unemployed youth between 18 and 35 years;
- The candidates must have Grade 12 qualifications;
- The candidates must be healthy both medically and physically;
- The candidates must be able to work in a team and under a variety of conditions;
- The candidates must have no criminal record;
- The candidates must have a driver’s license;
- Trainees must successfully complete Further Education and Training Certificate: Road Traffic Law Enforcement as well as Law Enforcement Skills Program SP4/2012.
Additional Notes
All the initial list the candidates will be required to undertake and pass the following compulsory fitness test including a 2.4 km run (males 11 minutes and females 13 minutes), push-ups (30 in 60 seconds), and sit-ups (30 in 60 seconds), candidates will be required to pass a written assessment and an interview, a physical assessment, submit their fingerprints or identity numbers for checking criminal records, undergo a City medical evaluation and a compulsory drug test at a City testing venue, and pass a driver assessment.
