Duties

Generally, being a clerk procurement will be dealing with these following duties, as follows.

• Procuring stock from the wholesalers based on the ordering cycles which have been determined by the stock requirements
• Following up on the outstanding orders
• Buying the stock from other wholesalers when the primary wholesalers does not have stock and need medication
• Maintaining a comprehensive up-to-date report about out of stock
• Obtaining the out-of-stock letters
• Blocking and unblocking of the stock items on the stock file once they run out of stock and back in stock
• Assisting the order processing with any stock queries or emails and providing feedback
• Confirming orders of items that will expire soon
• Opening and linking barcodes of new stock items which are not on the stock file
• Creating barcodes for the damaged items where the items can still be given to the patient although the primary box is damaged
• Adhering to the company policies
• Monitoring orders and prioritizing the order of items when necessary
• Attending to the overstocked items and negative stock list on a weekly basis and monthly basis

Requirements

• Having completed the Learner Basic Pharmacist Assistant Course is compulsory
