The Limpopo Provincial Treasury intends to empower the provincial and local government to achieve sustainable service delivery, through the sound public resource management as well as good governance. The values of the department encompass Transparency, Accountability, Integrity, Professionalism and Fairness.
The Limpopo Provincial Treasury bursary call 2019 is open for application this year. The department targets at high achieving and deserving students who wish to pursue their degree in the following fields:
- Financial Information Systems (BTech or National Diploma)
- Finance (BTech or National Diploma)
- Accounting (BTech or National Diploma)
- Information Technology (BTech or National Diploma)
- Internal Auditing (BTech or National Diploma)
- Cost and Management Accounting (BTech, BCom or National Diploma)
- Business Information (BCom)
- Economics (BCom)
- Financial Accounting (BCom)
- Accounting Sciences (BAccSc)
- Computer Science (BSc)
Upon completion of the studies, candidates must serve the local or provincial government or community. One year of service for every year they received their funding.
All shortlisted candidates will be notified. If you do not receive correspondence in 2 months after the deadline, please take it to mean your application as unsuccessful.
Suitability
To ensure your application will be regarded, you must first make sure that you meet all these requirements below:
- Be a South African citizen
- Have good academic record
- Reside in Limpopo area
- Must have finished Matric with a university exemption
- Must have achieved at least average of 65% (for current tertiary students)
- Have been accepted to study or currently studying as a full time student at a tertiary institution. Though, those studying at a local university will be given preference
- Be an active member within their community
- Must not be current recipient of another funding (provided the bursary covers full costs of study)
Application procedure
To apply, please obtain the application form and complete it in full. Then, attach the following supporting documents along with the completed application form within your application. Note that, your application will not be considered if any of these items is missing:
- Certified copy of ID document and matric certificate or latest results
- University acceptance letter
- Certified copy of proof of income of parents/guardians
- Current tertiary students must provide a certified copy of full academic record
