Job Overview

This job offers a level two salary ranging from R 96 549 to R 113 730 annually. The minimum educational requirement for the position is ABET qualification or STD 6. Additionally, having knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety requirements and maintenance procedures related to this position is also necessary. All candidates must have the ability to operate electrical equipment such as lawnmowers. Last but not least, basic literacy and numeracy skills are also important for the incumbent will be required to be able to read operating instructions and notices.
The job desks pertaining to the Groundsman: Corporate Service vacancy at Ingwe TVET College Central Office are as follows:
- Responsible for ensuring the cleaning of surroundings and classrooms
- Responsible for carrying out numerous gardening duties
- Responsible for rendering a minimum amount of supervision, digging, soil cultivation, mulching, forking, raking, watering, edging, pruning, weeding, bed preparation and planting
- Responsible for emptying litter bins and dumping
- Responsible for ensuring all machinery, equipment and buildings are secure
- Responsible for keeping tool shed or mess room tidy and clean
