Are you a young South African resident in Gauteng looking for an opportunity to pursue a tertiary education but lacking the financial means to do so? Look no further than the Gauteng City Region Academy (GCRA) Bursary programme, which is designed to promote quality education, training, and skills development in the Gauteng City Region. The GCRA offers bursaries, internships, learnerships, and skills programmes as part of its interventions aimed at building a skilled, capable, and ethical workforce for the region.
GCRA Bursary 2023 Programme
The GCRA bursary programme is open to all qualifying youth who wish to study for an undergraduate and/or post-graduate programme at an accredited and registered Post School Education and Training (PSET) institution in South Africa, with particular preference given to youth from Gauteng. The bursary covers the full cost of the study, subject to conditions stipulated in the bursary contract.
GCRA Bursary Qualifications
If you are one of the top three Grade 12 learners from a No-Fee paying, SSIP, or LSEN government school in Gauteng, you qualify for a bursary to study at a recognised Higher Education Institution (HEI) or a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College. For other qualifying students, applications are open for those who have completed matric and reside in Gauteng, students intending to study an undergraduate programme and have been accepted at an accredited PSET institution of learning and/or are currently registered for such, and students who want to pursue post-graduate studies and have been accepted at an accredited institution of higher learning.
