If they are willing to work hard and they are determined to achieve the skills they need for a future career, then this program would be the best option for them. By the time they have completed the program,it is expected that they have a significant increase in qualification, skills, and experience.
About the Program
DTI Internship program is designed for unemployed youth who want to gain professional qualification and experience. The program is set in Pretoria where each successful participant will get a monthly stipend of R6 000.
The Requirements
There are some basic requirements that candidates must meet for this DTI Internship program:
- The candidates must be the citizens of South Africa that must be proven by valid ID document
- They must be in the age range between 18 and 35 years old
- They must have at least completed a 3-year National Diploma or Degree or the equivalent qualification
- They must not have criminal record

How to Apply
Candidates must download or obtain the Z83 application form, and then they need to fill it up and then sign it. They can download it from any of the public service departments. During the submission, the application needs to be accompanied by certified copies of qualifications (such as Matric certificate) and also the updated comprehensive CV. They also need to include a certified ID document and academic records. The submission needs to be done by post or through hand delivered to DTI campus. Failure to provide the documents or late submission would lead to the applications being ignored and rejected.
If the submission is done by post, then it should be addressed to Registry Office, the Department of Trade and Industry, Private Bag x84, Pretoria 0001. If it is through hand delivery, it should be submitted to DTI campus, corner of Robert Sobukwe and MeintjiesStreet, Sunnyside, Pretoria.
Be advised that applicants who have taken part in any internship program hosted by the government won’t be considered. The deadline is on December the 20th 2019.
