Job Description
The vacant position is situated in Kimberley and available for the Chief Operations Office branch within the Infrastructure Development and Maintenance division. Successful incumbent will receive salary amounting to R 179 523 annually (OSD). In order to be entitled to this vacancy, candidates must be in possession of an appropriate trade test certificate accompanied by a valid driver’s license. Job Duties
- Be responsible for the Lower Orange and Lower Vaal management area
- Be responsible for producing designs according to client specifications and within limits of production ability for the Lower Orange and Lower Vaal water management area
- Be responsible for producing objects with equipment and material according to job specification and recognised standards
- Be responsible for rendering quality assurance duties in terms of produced objects
- Be responsible for inspecting equipment and facilities for technical faults
- Be responsible for repairing facilities and equipment according to standards
- Be responsible for testing repair equipment and facilities against specifications
- Be responsible for conducting service duties
- Be responsible for quality assurance for maintained and serviced equipment and facilities
- Be responsible for submitting and compiling reports
- Be responsible for providing inputs to the operational plan
- Be responsible for maintaining and keeping job register/record
- Be responsible for the supervision and mentoring of staff
- Be responsible for the continuous individual development
