Job Details
Successful incumbent will be positioned in Kimberley and receive a level five salary whose worth is equivalent to R 163 563 annually. The minimum educational requirement for this job is a Senior certificate with Accounting as a passed subject. Furthermore, it would certainly be a plus point if you have sufficient knowledge of basic Financial Functions. Required skills and competencies:

- Basic insight and knowledge of Treasury regulations such as DoRA, PFMA, PISR, PSA, Financial Manual and PPPFA

Key performance areas
Once you are qualified for the Accounting Clerk vacancy at Department of Water and Sanitation, you will be involved in but not limited to the following duties:
- Be responsible for capturing and checking transaction on SAP and PERSAL such as Travel claims and subsistence, overtime, payroll and deductions
- Be responsible for managing payroll administration along with all financial transaction
- Be responsible for distributing payslips including supplementary pay slips to all relevant officials
- Be responsible for filing all financial claims and documents
- Be responsible for capturing and verifying Sundry payments as well as journals on BAS
- Be responsible for monitoring outstanding S&T advances and updating register
- Be responsible for the telephone accounts along with the deductions
- Be responsible for assisting with compilation of accruals
- Be responsible for rectifying misallocations
