Duties
As a Delivery Assistant, you will have various duties, mainly assisting the delivery officer. The list of duties for this position are explained in detail below, please keep reading:
- You will be responsible for off-loading the delivered goods from the truck to the customer on arrival
- You will be responsible for carrying the crates of goods to the shop
- You will be responsible for packing the goods onto the customer’s display shelf
- You will be responsible to make sure the amount of items are correct with every delivery
- You will need to return the crates to the truck once goods are offloaded
- You will need to assist the driver when reversing the truck
- You will need to assist the driver with emergency truck maintenance such as changing a punctured tire on route
