Job Title: Data Capturer

Duties
The general duties of Data Capturer in Johannesburg Water are to provide accurate capturing of project data relating to EPWP, and SMME, WC/WDM and other Capital programmes within PMU. This is so that correct reporting is possible, while ensuring compliance with Johannesburg Water and City of Johannesburg legislative requirements.
In details, the duties are:
- Collect EPWP, and SMME, WC/WDM data timeously from projects in construction from Project Managers (PM) and contractors.
- Liaise with PM’s and visit sites regularly to attain latest recorded data and verify information.
- File all captured data on hard files as records for storage.
- Scan all documents and electronically store them in a defined electronic storage system or folder.
- Capture all jobs created on the preferred template and system in line with EPWP requirements.
- Capture all SMMEs appointed on projects on the preferred template and system in line prescribed requirements.
- Verify and capture the site data on households to be provided with basic services.
- Capture stands information on SAP to initiate the metering process and link to related systems.
- Record Service Level Agreements and indemnity forms between Johannesburg Water and the community.
- Catch the queries reported on site into SAP and update status of query on resolution.
- Get Job cards and file on the document management system upon completion of meter installation.
- Compile accurate monthly reports based on complying information (EPWP/SMME).
- Compile monthly statistics of SLA captured, recorded and also on indemnity forms signed to assess project buy-in (WC/WDM).
- Draw different types of data from EPWP/SMME database system as per request for reporting purposes.
Eligibility and Requirements
