Western Cape Education Department (WCED) offers some career opportunities for Youth South Africans. Previously, WCED opened Presidential Employment Initiative Programme (PEIP) and has been closed on November last year. WCED is now offering WCED Graduate Internship Programme for 2021/2022 and 2022/2023. Successful candidates will be worked at WCED Office as general officers who have some tasks i.e. data entry, research, filing and general coordination.
Programme Details
Programme Name: WCED Graduate Intern
Stipend: R6 083.70
Candidates: Youth up to 34 years of age.
Duration: 24 months (2021 up to 2023)
Locations: Head Office, Rural Districts, and Metro Districts
Requirements and Qualifications
To be participants in WCED Graduate Internship, you must meet these following requirements and some skill qualifications:
- You have completed 3-year diploma or degree (NQF 6 or 7) in one of these fields: Accounting and Auditing, Financial Management Systems; Financial Management; Human Resource LLB/Labour Relations Management, Management/Development, Office Management and Technology, Project Management or Public Management.
- You must have computer skills including MS offices (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), understand how to work in email system, and familiar with internet;
- You must have interpersonal and listening skills, ability in gathering and processing information;
- You have a good national and English languages both written and spoken.
