TB HIV Care (THC) or www.tbhivcare.org was established in 1929. TB HIV Care is an international non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the number of TB-related deaths in HIV infected patients, especially in resource-constrained settings. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) reports that 80 per cent of HIV-positive people are unaware of their condition. TB HIV Care conducts healthcare services across South Africa. The targets of its programme are populations and communities with a high risk for HIV and TB. They include adolescent girls/young women, sex workers, as well as people who use drugs.

Duties
The Social Workers have some duties in common with Psychologists. However, they are not considered to be therapists. They work in the field of human services with individuals, families, and groups. Schedules appointments when needed, follow up on missed appointments, and schedules future ones. Completes paperwork as needed. providing regular feedback to the team and supervisors on the client’s progress.
Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) in Social Work or B Social Science Degree from four-year College or university
- Two years related experience and/or training
- Minimum of at least two years related experience
- Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP)
- Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in English and isiZulu languages
- Valid code 8 driver’s license
