About Sasria and the Program
Sasria SOC Ltd was first set up in 1979 as the short-term insurance company providing services to all businesses and individuals having assets in South Africa. They are also responsible for government entities as well. Considering that they established the business back then in 1979, it means that they have been around in the business for 40 years.
As their way to contribute to the society and to give back to the community, they are awarding the Sasria Bursary program to the potential and promising students who are taking the full-time subjects in the undergraduate academic degree. The students need to take one of the following subjects:
Finance
Insurance
Business
Business Economics
Accounting
Economics
Business Science and Mathematics
Bachelor of Information Technology
BSc Information Technology
The Requirements
All programs have their own standards of qualification and skill measurement. The candidates must meet the minimum and basic entry criteria if they want to be considered qualified for the Sasria Bursary program.
The candidates must be the citizens of South Africa that is proven by valid and legal ID document
They must study or have the intention to study full time for one of the mentioned fields of study
They must have National Senior certificate
They must get a minimum B symbol for the average
How to Apply
Interested candidates must download the application form which is available in pdf format. When they submit the form, they must accompany it with these supporting documents:
A certified copy of letter from the institution
A certified copy of the complete academic record – if there is any
A certified copy of ID document
A certified copy of the ID document of the guardian or parents
A certified copy of the latest financial statements that show a monthly income or a salary drawn in the parents or guardians are self-employed
A certified copy of Matric certificate – if there is any
Be advised that candidates need to complete their documents. If they fail to meet one of the documents, it will lead to their application being ignored and rejected.
