SANDF Training Programme 2023
South African National Defence Force (SANDF) consists of the South African Army (SA Army), South African Navy (SA Navy), and South African Air Force (SA Air Force). Every South African has opportunities to work or participate in training conducted by SA Army, SA Navy, and SA Air Force.
Besides that youth South African also can participate in the SANDF training program through the career development programme in the military called as Military Skills Development System (MSDS).

SA Army Training Programme 2023
The South African Army (SA Army) provides training for its soldiers to prepare them for various roles and tasks. SA Navy Training Programme 2023
The South African Navy (SAN) provides training for its sailors to prepare them for various roles and tasks. This training includes basic training for new recruits, as well as specialized training for specific roles such as surface warfare, submarine warfare, and naval aviation. The training is designed to instill discipline, physical fitness, and a strong sense of loyalty to the country.
The SAN also provides ongoing training and development opportunities for its sailors to maintain their skills and knowledge. This can include courses in navigation, seamanship, weapons handling, and damage control. The SAN also has specialized training schools that focus on specific areas such as diving and mine warfare.

SA Air Force Training Programme 2023
The South African Air Force (SAAF) provides training for its airmen and airwomen to prepare them for various roles and tasks. This training includes basic training for new recruits, as well as specialized training for specific roles such as pilots, air traffic controllers, and aircraft maintenance personnel.
The basic training is designed to instill discipline, physical fitness, and a strong sense of loyalty to the country. The SAAF also provides ongoing training and development opportunities for its airmen and airwomen to maintain their skills and knowledge. This can include courses in navigation, weapons handling, and aircraft systems maintenance.

Additionally, the SAAF also has an Officer Candidate School (OCS) which is a commissioning program for enlisted personnel and non-commissioned officers who want to become officers in the Air Force. And also the SAAF has a Graduate Development Programme, which is designed to prepare young graduates for leadership roles in the SAAF.
SANDF Military Skills Development System
The Military Skills Development System (MSDS) in South Africa is a program that provides military training and education to young South Africans. The program is open to both men and women between the ages of 18 and 22 and is designed to provide them with the skills and experience needed to serve in the South African National Defence Force (SANDF).
The MSDS is a two-year program that consists of both military training and civilian education. The military training portion of the program includes basic training, which is similar to the training that all new SANDF recruits must complete. This includes training in areas such as weapons handling, first aid, and physical fitness.
