Programme Description
Position: Education Assistant and General Assistants
Recruiter: The Department of Basic Education
Location: Gauteng
Stipend: R3500 for a month
Duration: 4 months from December 2020 to March 2021
Duties
- Assisting the teaching and learning processes in the classroom
- Doing clerical and admin tasks
- Handling the general or basic school infrastructure maintenance
- Assisting students in providing resources and information
- Helping the cleaning, cooking and doing laundry
- Doing inspections in regular basis
Requirements
- For education assistants, grade 12/ Matric certificate is important while for general assistants, they do not need to have Matric certificate
- This Presidential Youth Employment Initiative is eligible for those unemployed applicants
- The applicants should not currently pursuing their degree
- They must be in the ages between 18 and 35 years old
- Those who apply for the job should reside in South Africa
- Having strong interest in education is compulsory
- Having the passion to learn and adapt in new environment is preferable
- Applicants must be the citizen of South Africa
