Salary: R198 411 – R230 259 (LP-1 to LP-2)

Type of work: 12 months contract

Duties

Hence, participating in NPA Aspirant Prosecutor Training Programme means that you will deal with these following duties.

  • Conducting prosecutions
  • Attending to all matters incidental thereto
  • Acting as the gatekeeper of criminal laws
  • Representing public interest in the criminal justice process
  • Complying with the Code of Conduct
  • Observing Policy Directives as issued by the National Director of Public Prosecutions

Requirements

In addition, the applicants must have possessed these following requirements to make themselves eligible for the position.

  • The applicants must have a South African LLB degree or equivalent foreign qualifications which have been certified by SAQA. These qualifications include at least these following courses: Law of Evidence, Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure and Interpretation of Statutes, and also Criminal Law
  • The applicants could also be in their final year LLB with the aforemention courses
  • Having the citizenship of South African is compulsory
  • Being able to demonstrate the competency professionally is obligatory

  • Certified copies of qualifications
  • An identity document
  • A copy of Academic Record for final year LLB students
