Programme Duration: 6 Months

About the NYDA Skills Development Programme:

Are you a young, motivated individual with a passion for entrepreneurship and a desire to acquire valuable skills? The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) has partnered with the Wholesale & Retail Sector Education and Training Authority (W&RSETA) to bring you an exciting opportunity – the NYDA Skills Development Programme 2023. This innovative programme aims to equip unemployed South African youth with Short-Term Entrepreneurial skills, empowering them to excel in the dynamic realm of retail and wholesale businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Skills Development Programme Participant, you will:

• Participate actively in all aspects of the skills development curriculum.
• Engage in workshops, training sessions, and practical exercises designed to enhance your entrepreneurial skills.
• Collaborate with fellow participants and mentors to foster a supportive learning environment.
• Apply the knowledge and skills gained during the programme to real-world business scenarios.

Requirements:

To be eligible for this programme, you must:

• Be a South African citizen.
• Fall within the age range of 18 to 35 years.
• Hold a certified Matric certificate.
• Possess a certified Identity document.
• Be currently unemployed and not enrolled in any other skills development programme.
• Be available for the full 6-month duration of the programme.
• Be involved in wholesale and retail business activities.

1. Visit the NYDA Skills Development Programme application portal at erp.nyda.gov.za.
2. Create an account and complete the online application form.
3. Ensure all required documents (CV, Matric certificate, Identity document) are submitted.
4. Review your application and submit before the closing date: August 18, 2023.

Note: Only applications that meet the specified requirements and are submitted before the closing date will be considered. Late applications will not be accepted.
