The Responsibility of Security Officer in SA Metal Group
This opportunity is for a Security Officer position. It’s a full-time job and the salary will be negotiated between the successful candidate and the company.
Here are some key responsibilities related to the position:
- Protect the personnel, visitors, and all assets of the business
- Prevent loss and damage, reporting any violations to policies and procedures.
- Ensure entry and exit access in the company area are controlled. Also completing the necessary registers and operating the gates to protect SA Metal property.
- Searching vehicles, pedestrians, and personal belongings of anyone who exit the SA Metal premises.
- Ensure all visitors are issued with PPE. Also, ensure the PPE is returned before they leave.
- Ensure that every item leaving the SA Metal location is with the relevant documentation.
- Provide the patrol at regular intervals to assigned areas.
- Ensure that every policy and procedure in the company is fully adhered to at all times.
- Lock and unlock the gates
- Control the access and traffic in the location.
- Make sure the Observation Book is up to date.
- Ensure that empty and full containers are booked in and out, also the after-hour weighing is done correctly.
General Requirements of Job for Security in SA Metal Group
Please consider that you can fulfill these requirements before applying for this job.
- Have former experience as a Security Officer of at least 3 years.
- Registered with minimum Grade C in PSIRA
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Good skills in numeracy and literacy
- Able to work shifts, both day and night. Also in weekends
- Willing to work overtime
- Flexible person and able to work in a team or individually
- Excellent communication and good customer service skills
- Detail-oriented, careful, and diligent person.
- Able to work in a physically demanding environment and under pressure
- Commitment to a strong ethic and integrity
