Internship Programs for The 2019/20 Financial Year

The Office of the Public Service Commission is proud to announce the new internship programs for the 2019/20 financial year. Suitable graduates who have completed their studies at institutions of higher learning are all invited to apply. Description

Up to three internship programs are available at the Office of the Public Service Commission this year. Qualified incumbents will undergo an internship for 24 months. The internship programs for the 2019/20 financial year target at qualifying and interested graduates, who are currently unemployed and have yet to participate in an internship program previously. All programs all are available at the National Office (Head Office) in Pretoria. Individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply as well. All successful candidates will receive salary amounting to R 5, 728.53 every month.

The general criteria for this program are as follows:

  • Must be unemployed youth between 18 and 35 years old
  • Organising skills
  • Good interpersonal relations
  • Problem solving
  • Communication
  • Having a clean credit record
  • No criminal record

Academic requirement: degree or national diploma in Public Financial Management (NQF level 6 or 7)

Information Technology (ref. no: INT/IT/12/18)

Academic requirement: degree or national diploma in Information Technology (NQF level 6 or 7)

Supply Chain Management (ref. no: INT/SCM/12/18)

Academic requirement: degree or national diploma in Supply Chain Management / Purchasing / Logistics Management (NQF level 6 or 7)

Submit before December 28, 2018 at 15:45 PM. Applications for internship programs for the 2019/20 financial year will only be accepted if they are complete and submitted no later than the stipulated deadline.

All successful applicants will further be required to attain a top secret clearance issued by the State Security Agency. The Office of the Public Service Commission will verify the qualifications as well as render reference checking on shortlisted applicants. All sorts of correspondence will only be limited to applicants who are shortlisted only. Therefore, if you do not receive any notifications in three months after the deadline has passed, please take it to mean your application as unsuccessful
