Duties

Working as either a driver or a security officer comes up with different duties and responsibilities. Hence, these are the duties of a driver/messenger to handle, as follows.

  • Driving light and medium motor vehicles to transport passengers and delivering mail and documents
  • Doing routine maintenance on the allocated vehicles and reporting defects timely
  • Completing all the required and prescribed records and log books with regard to vehicle and goods handled
  • Ensuring proper running of messenger service
  • Ensuring proper recording of correspondence and information flow to and from the department and other entities
  • Assisting the Transport Clerk when necessary
