AfriGIS refers to African Geographic Information System. This is a brandable name for a company that provided information system in geographic. AfriGIS was established n 1997 and today the company has about 90 employees. The employees are located mostly in South Africa (Pretoria, Durban and Cape Town), some of them are in Dublin, Ireland and the rest are in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
AfriGis Learnership
Today, AfriGIS is offering learnership programme for young people who have a passion in a Systems Development. The Learnership will takes a location in Pretoria. Candidates who have completed the learnership programme will get valuable working experience and awarded with a National Certificate (NQF 5, SAQA ID: 48872).
Learnership Requirements
To apply for AfriGIS Learnership Programme candidates must meet these following requirements:
Candidates must be a South African citizen;
Candidates are currently unemployed;
Candidates have a range of 18 and 35 years;
Candidates must have a valid matric certificate and obtained 60% or more in mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy) as well as English;
Candidates have a good personality and interpersonal skills;
Candidates show a good attitude during the training and learning programmes.
