Summary
Salary ranges from R242,475 to R285,630 annually for the successful incumbent. Applicants must sign a performance agreement. Candidates need at least a Grade 12 or Senior Certificate—or its equivalent—to qualify. Three years of court experience is preferred but not required for this minimum education level. A valid driver’s license is an advantage for the Chief Administration Clerk role at the Magistrate Office in Kathu.
Inherent knowledge and skills requirements:
Familiarity with PFMA, BAS, JDAS, DFI, JYP, and Transport policies.
Strong grasp of financial, HR, asset, and risk management.
Clear communication abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with computers.

Job Duties:
An essential responsibility involves conducting efficient and effective support to the court, ensuring all proceedings operate smoothly and professionally. This duty requires maintaining discipline within the workplace environment while promptly addressing and resolving any complaints or grievances that may arise. By upholding high standards of conduct and addressing issues proactively, the office ensures a harmonious and productive atmosphere that supports the court’s operations and maintains professional integrity.
Another key duty is handling the performance management system in the office, which includes monitoring employee performance, setting objectives, and conducting regular evaluations. This systematic approach ensures that all staff members meet the required standards and continuously improve their professional capabilities. Effective performance management contributes to overall organizational success by aligning individual goals with the office’s mission and objectives.
The position also requires drafting submissions, memoranda, and reports to document important information and facilitate communication. Additionally, controlling utilization and maintaining the office’s assets and accommodation is crucial for operational efficiency. This includes managing resources effectively, ensuring proper maintenance of facilities, and optimizing the use of available space and equipment to support the office’s functions.
