During the programme, participants will have the chance to gain a comprehensive understanding of the various aspects of the Warehouse and Logistics Industry and learn the underlying principles of distribution.
Warehouse and Logistics Duties
Warehouse and Logistics workers play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of a supply chain. Their main task involves receiving, storing, and distributing goods, materials, and products in a timely and cost-effective manner. This includes activities such as unloading deliveries, checking for damaged goods, stocking shelves, picking and packing orders, and operating and handling equipment. They also coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and seamless deliveries, monitor inventory levels, and maintain accurate records of stock movement. In addition, Warehouse and Logistics workers are responsible for maintaining a safe and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, and following established processes and procedures. They play a key role in ensuring that goods reach their intended destination on time and in good condition, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of the supply chain.

Volvo Learnership 2023 Requirements
- Must have completed Grade 12 or higher education (additional qualifications are advantageous).
- Must be a South African Citizen.
- Must be currently unemployed.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be 35 years of age or younger.
- This learnership opportunity is only available to those who have not participated in any previous learnership programmes.
