Job Description

Successful incumbent will receive salary amounting to R 196 407 annually with the total package of R 309 445 per year (conditions applicable). The Senior Database Clerk vacancy at Department of Environmental Affairs, which is situated in KZN, requires all applicants to be in possession of at least a Senior Certificate in order to be eligible. It is also expected that candidates have relevant data capturing experience with proven above average proficiency in Windows and MS Office.

Job Responsibilities
- provide support and assistance to the Control GIS Technician through the capturing of all non-spatial data for NRM-managed projects
- update and maintain non-spatial database regularly
- verify data for completeness, consistency and accuracy
- identify discrepancies in documents proactively
- be responsible for hard copy and electronic filing of relevant records and documentations systematically
- provide general administrative support functions
