About the Program

This Pretoria South African State Theater Internship program is about providing the opportunity for the unemployed but qualified and promising youth so they can gain the needed knowledge and experience that can help them in their future career. The South African State Theater is opening their door for these unemployed graduates so they can take part in the 2020 period. This internship itself will last for 12 months (a year). By the time candidates complete their internship program, they are expected to achieve higher accomplishment that can benefit them (professionally or personally) in their future career.

The offered subjects for this internship program are:

  • Performing Arts (Sound)
  • Office Administration
  • Information and Communication Technology
  • Education Youth and Children’s Performing Arts/Theater
  • Finance

The offered subjects are open to candidates with the passion. Appointed candidates will get a stipend of R6000. However, it is unclear whether it is a stipend for the entire internship period or for a monthly coverage. Only appointed candidates will get a clearer and a more thorough information (and details) about the program.

The Requirements

In order to qualify for this Pretoria South African State Theater Internship program, all candidates must meet the requirements, which may cover these aspects:

  • The candidates must be the citizens of South Africa – must be proven with the legal and valid South African ID document
  • They must not have any criminal record or any pending charges
  • They must have the National Degree or Diploma within the relevant field of the subject or study
  • They must have completed Grade 12 (Matric)
  • They must have a Matric certificate as the proof of their educational background
  • They must have the genuine passion and bedetermined to complete it thoroughly

How to Apply

The application processing will take place in a traditional way – it doesn’t involve online processing. Candidates will have to send their application letter, along with their updated and comprehensive CV with a certified copy of South African ID document (and also certified copies of qualifications) to jobs@statetheatre.co.za, being addressed to Human Resources Departmen. They must also include two references (complete with their contact information) along the application.

Be advised that incomplete application will not be considered. The deadline is on April the 22nd 2020. Communication will be done only to the shortlisted candidates. Those who haven’t been contacted within 2 weeks after the deadline should consider themselves to be unsuccessful. Any late submission for this Pretoria South African State Theater Internship program will lead to the application being rejected or not considered.
