The Key Responsibilities Of The NRF Vacancies: Electronic Technician

As an electronic technician, the candidate will respond in every general aspect of designing, coding, and maintaining the system. These are the description of the tasks:

  • Maintain and develop a controls system in a research environment
  • Maintain the system used in physics experiments
  • Support the physics experiment and setup
  • Write the technical documentation
  • Control research infrastructure by applying expertise in control system design
  • Provide programming and coding skills in C++, Phyton, and Java
  • Maintain the system to optimize automation and control
  • Provide teamwork with internal scientific staff and external scientific users
  • Repair the instrumentation and control system
  • Update the documents and records for design and instrumentation
  • Update reports on control system performance

Requirements of The NRF Vacancies: Electronic Technician

This is a middle-level vacancy. Every candidate who applies for this vacancy should meet these requirements:

  • BSc or B.Tech in Electronics or Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Know EPICS and Control System Studio interface
  • Know analog and digital electronics
  • Know PLC, Fieldbus devices, and microprocessors
  • Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical thinking skills, hardware design, and software programming skills
  • Good knowledge of mechanical aptitude
  • Able to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
  • Able to work safely in a laboratory environment and excellent in safety conscience
  • Able to work overtime
