The Key Responsibilities Of The NRF Vacancies: Electronic Technician
As an electronic technician, the candidate will respond in every general aspect of designing, coding, and maintaining the system. These are the description of the tasks:
- Maintain and develop a controls system in a research environment
- Maintain the system used in physics experiments
- Support the physics experiment and setup
- Write the technical documentation
- Control research infrastructure by applying expertise in control system design
- Provide programming and coding skills in C++, Phyton, and Java
- Maintain the system to optimize automation and control
- Provide teamwork with internal scientific staff and external scientific users
- Repair the instrumentation and control system
- Update the documents and records for design and instrumentation
- Update reports on control system performance
Requirements of The NRF Vacancies: Electronic Technician
This is a middle-level vacancy. Every candidate who applies for this vacancy should meet these requirements:
- BSc or B.Tech in Electronics or Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Know EPICS and Control System Studio interface
- Know analog and digital electronics
- Know PLC, Fieldbus devices, and microprocessors
- Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical thinking skills, hardware design, and software programming skills
- Good knowledge of mechanical aptitude
- Able to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
