You can have a role in helping out of school adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) to be linked to wage-income opportunity. The project that you’re going to be part of is called the DREAMS Economic Strengthening.

As we have mentioned previously, Khethimpilo wants to link adolescent girls and young women to any wage-income opportunities. In the future, Khethimpilo wants the targets of this project to be able to be responsible for their own life and provide for their needs.

While for the Khethimpilo Vacancies itself, Khethimpilo needs a Youth IES Linkage Officer to help them look for the linkage opportunities, drive the process and finally track and report the ongoing opportunities.

Your base will be in Western Cape, yet there’s a big possibility to travel to different sites in order to do the job as the Youth IES Linkage Officer for Khethimpilo.

Duties

To fill in the Khethimpilo Vacancies, applicants should be ready with the responsibilities of the role too. The list below will give you information on the responsibilities of a Youth IES Linkage Officer.

  • Establish and maintain district and local stakeholder relationships and economic strengthening partnerships to ensure successful AGYW employment and income generating activities.
  • Complete local labor market assessments to ensure efficient AGYW linkages to concrete employment and entrepreneurial opportunities.
  • Manage and coordinate trackers and reporting to effectively manage linkages and potential partnerships.
  • Track and effectively coordinate AGYW comprehensive training programs.
  • Coordinate, develop and maintain high quality program documents.
  • Work with the MER unit to track program implementation and routinely review, evaluate, and strengthen program implementation.
  • Collaborate with SI Officer on closing of identified data irregularities and gaps.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned.

Eligibility and Requirements

  • Qualification in economics, developmental sciences, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in coordination, implementation and monitoring of youth economic strengthening programs.
  • Experience in local stakeholder management.
  • High degree of proficiency in written and spoken English and other local languages including excellent presentation, training and report writing skills.
  • Ability to manage work independently, set realistic priorities, and plan for the successful implementation of activities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to undertake additional responsibilities.
  • Well-developed computer skills, with proven proficiency in Microsoft Office suites.
  • Must be in possession of a valid unendorsed South African driver’s license.
  • Having a reliable vehicle is highly advantageous.
