The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (DOJ&CD) is extending an invitation to all unemployed youth to participate in the SASSETA Graduates Programme, which offers valuable workplace experience. Stipend:

These internships are available in all regions, however, candidates who wish to apply for an internship outside of their respective regions must be willing to find their own accommodation, as they will not be receiving a salary, only a stipend

The DOJ&CD youth development programme offers the following stipends:

  1. National Diploma: Up to R4,500.00 per month
  2. Bachelor’s Degree: Up to R5,000.00 per month
  3. Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Qualification: Up to R6,000.00 per month
  4. Honors Degree: Up to R7,000.00 per month
  5. Master’s Degree: Up to R7,000.00 per month

Requirements

The DOJ&CD invites all unemployed South African graduates and TVET students, who hold a tertiary qualification in one of the fields previously mentioned, and have not previously participated in any internship programme or in-service training, to apply for the internship programme.

To qualify for the DOJ&CD youth development programme, applicants must hold a National Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Honours, or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineers. This requirement ensures that participants have a strong foundation in the key principles and practices of operational management, which is essential for success in the programme. The programme aims to provide valuable on-the-job training and experience for individuals who are eager to build a career in this field and are willing to commit to the programme requirements.

Applications

To apply for an internship in a specific regional office, separate applications must be submitted, and the relevant reference number for the chosen center must be included.

To apply, interested applicants must submit their applications, including a completed and signed Form Z83, a CV, a certified Identity Document, Senior Certificate, and the highest required qualification to the specified address. A pre-employment security screening, which includes a check of RSA citizenship, criminal record, credit record, and verification of qualification, will be conducted, and the outcome will be considered to determine suitability for employment.
