Basic Police Development Learning Programme (BPDLP):

2. Basic Training Phase: Eight months of rigorous training at a designated SAPS Academy; Stipend: R4500 per month.

Placement:

• Be free of previous criminal convictions and willing to undergo fingerprinting and background checks.
• Not have visible tattoo marks while wearing the SAPS uniform.
• Be ready to take the oath of office and excel in physical and psychological assessments.
• Demonstrate a willingness to train and serve anywhere in South Africa.
