Job Objectives:
- Financial Performance: Drive and maximize sales, track daily targets, and implement weekly and monthly sales plans. Take proactive actions as required to ensure the achievement of the store’s financial performance.
- Operational Management: Efficiently manage and control all operational activities, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage, housekeeping, and administration.
- Visual Merchandising: Oversee in-store execution of visual merchandising, ensuring the maintenance of in-store presentation and promotional standards in line with the brand image.
- Team Management: Build and lead a competent and motivated team through effective selection, leadership, management, and ongoing development.
- Staff Scheduling: Adequately schedule staff in accordance with the Group’s labor policy to ensure each department is fully and appropriately staffed.
- Administrative Responsibilities: Ensure efficient handling of administrative tasks, including weekly time and attendance, and submission of complete employee records to HR.
- Customer Service: Execute customer service initiatives in-store, taking corrective actions to enhance the customer experience, drive loyalty, and achieve club card participation targets.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain sound working relationships with relevant stakeholders such as center managers, suppliers, and distribution centers to achieve business objectives.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about customer trends, demographics, and needs, monitoring local competitors to capitalize on opportunities.
- Integration and Cohesion: Drive cohesion, consistency, and integration between store operations, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
- Business Culture: Foster a high-performing business culture that promotes employee affiliation, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.

Minimum Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a store management role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment with an annual turnover of at least R50 million.
- Extensive people management experience of a large and diverse workforce.
- Financial management experience (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios, etc.).
Education:
- Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%).
- Essential: B. Degree or Diploma (retail/finance management, pharmacy, or related) for external applicants.
