Junior HR Officer Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintaining Employee Records:
    • Accurately manage and update employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  2. HR Reporting:
    • Compile and submit HR reports to track key metrics, contributing valuable insights for decision-making processes.
  3. Recruitment Process Management:
    • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, from job postings to onboarding, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  4. Headcount and Labor Cost Tracking:
    • Monitor organizational headcount and labor costs, providing valuable information for strategic planning and budgeting.
  5. Disciplinary Actions:
    • Conduct disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and legal requirements, maintaining fairness and transparency.
  6. Employee Terminations:
    • Handle employee terminations professionally and sensitively, ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws.
  7. Induction Training Oversight:
    • Oversee the induction training process, ensuring new employees are integrated seamlessly into the organization.
  8. Customer Support:
    • Provide exceptional customer support to employees, addressing queries and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  9. Payroll Assistance:
    • Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payments.
  10. EE and BBBEE Plan Implementation:
    • Contribute to the implementation of Employment Equity (EE) and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) plans, promoting diversity and inclusion.
  11. Audit Support:
    • Support internal and external audits by ensuring HR processes and documentation are compliant and up-to-date.
  12. Managerial Guidance:
    • Guide managers on disciplinary issues, providing expertise and support in handling HR-related matters.
  13. Data Accuracy:
    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across HR systems, contributing to the reliability of HR information.

Eligibility:

To be considered for the Junior HR Officer position, candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Matric/Grade 12 certificate
  • National Diploma in Human Resources
  • Advanced MS Excel skills

Requirements:

In addition to the minimum qualifications, the ideal candidate should possess:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience (automotive industry experience is advantageous)
  • Knowledge of Mibco and Merseta
  • Strong administration skills
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
  • Working knowledge of BCEA, LRA, POPIA, SDA, and EE

  • Immediate availability
  • Reside within 15km from Ravensmead
