A data capture clerk is a person that helps electronic data capture. Electronic data capture is the process of selecting information from a source of the document or many documents and converting it into readable data on a computer. In an emergency medical services (EMS) the documents could be patient profiles, reports, even any problems in the EMS business process.

Duties
Here are some duties that you must handle when you starting this job position.
- Maintain all stations of Gauteng EMS;
- Check then verify patient report forms (PRF) input sheet before capturing;
- Report any problems in the stations and related working areas;
- Report daily input sheet to the shift supervisors or EMS manager;
- Capture verified data for Station in web DHIS if a Daily Data Capturing (DDC) site;
- Indicate capturing date and sign, check for outliers, as well as add a comment.
- Mark record for follow-up if applicable, check for missing data, add a comment, and mark
record for follow-up; - Perform additional duties as assigned by Gauteng EMS supervisors/managers.
Requirements

- You have completed a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification;
- You have 1-2 years of relevant experience in EMS data management;
- You have knowledge of DMHIS Policy.
