Duties
Working as a security guard is not always about protecting the office. Furthermore, there are other significant duties of a security guard.
- Searching for prohibited items
- Searching for vehicles when entering the hospital premises and leaving
- Checking the building at regular intervals including wards, office blocs, and workshop area
- Ensuring the visitors and staffs have parked their cars at the appropriate bays
- Reporting incidents breaches in the occurrence book (OB)
- Keeping control of visitors’ register
- Rendering escort service to staffs, patients, and visitors
- Vehicles searching and enforcing departmental policies
In contrast, these are what a food service must have to do daily as their responsibilities, as follows.
- Receiving, storing, preparing, cooking, dishing up, serving food, and also delivering it to patients
- Loading and off-loading of containers or plates of food from the trolley
- Operating and caring for equipment and also reporting broken equipment
- Being responsible for general hygiene in related to cleaning tasks
- Wearing appropriate uniform and protective clothing
- Performing general works related to food service
- Acting as a messenger when necessary
Requirements

- Grade 10 or equivalent qualification is a must
- Having relevant experience with PSIRA Grade C security certificate is compulsory
- Having the minimum of three years working experience in relevant field is obligatory

- Being able to work in shifts and under pressure
- The applicants must have no criminal records
