At least there are twenty-seven different open positions in the IPID internship programme. From IT staff to administration.
In general, their requirements are the same: bachelor’s degree or equivalent. The majors required include:
- Bachelor of Technology in Forensic Science (Placement: Bellville, East London, National Office, Durban, Johannesburg, Bellville)
- Bachelor of Technology in Policing /Bachelor of Criminology (Placement: Bellville, East London, Bloemfontein, Durban, Johannesburg, Bellville)
- Bachelor of Laws (placement: Bellville, East London, Bloemfontein, Durban, Johannesburg)
- National Diploma in Policing / Bachelor of Criminology (placement: Polokwane, Kimberly)
- Bachelor in Public Administration / Management (placement: National Office, SPM)
- Bachelor in Information Technology – Software Development (placement: National Office, ICT)
- Bachelor in HRM / Labour Relations (placement: National Office, labor relations)
- Bachelor in Security Management or Policing (National Office, Security/Vetting)
The successful candidate will get a salary depending on their highest qualification as described below:
- NQF Level 8: R7000.per month
- NQF Level 7: R6000.per month
- NQF Level 6: R5000.per month
