Job Description
Job Title: Basil Read Mining Vacancies
Position: Drill Rig Mechanic
Location: Gauteng Field Services
Eligibility and Requirements
There are requirements that you should have if you want to apply for this vacancy. The minimum requirements and experience that you should have to be able to be a Drill Rig Mechanic at the Basil Read Mining are as follow:
- Grade 12 Senior Certificate.
- Apprenticeship / Trade Certificate in Diesel Mechanics.
- 5 years’ experience on maintaining Drill Equipment and minimum of 5 years’ experience on excavators.
- Specific experience in hydraulic systems, reading hydraulic drawings, fault finding on hydraulic circuits, fuel and pneumatic systems.
- Hands-on maintenance experience with drilling equipment (Epiroc ECM660, T45 and T50 Machines) and excavators. Supporting training certification is also important.
- Mine Health & Safety Qualification e.g. Competent A, Valid First Aid Training.
- Auto Electrical Exposure and Experience will be advantageous.
Other pre-requisite requirements that you cannot pass are also listed below:
- Clear criminal record.
- Willing to travel.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Covid-19 Vaccine Certificate Required.
