Job Summary
Please quote the reference number of this position within your application form, GPW 19/09. The qualified candidate will receive salary amounting to R 179 523 annually and will be positioned in Pretoria. The minimum educational requirement needed for the position is a Grade 10 or equivalent qualification. This qualification must be accompanied by a completed apprenticeship as well as passed trade test in craft or mechanised binding. Should you hold a Grade 12 certificate then it would serve as an added advantage.

- Basic computer skills
- Good knowledge of mechanised binding equipment or craft binding operations
- Quality conscious
- Willingness to work shifts
The Artisan (Production) Grade A vacancy at Department Printing Works will have the future incumbent involved in the following key performance areas:
- Responsible for running, adjusting and maintaining mechanised binding and/or personalisation machines or equipment
- Responsible for ensuring optimum productivity and maintaining high quality standards of binding
- Responsible for reconciling documents daily
- Responsible for basic operating and maintenance
- Responsible for ensuring adherence to Occupational Health and Safety as well as procedures
