Qualified incumbent will be involved in, but not limited to the following duties:

  • Responsible for the procurement as well as distribution of stationery and cleaning material, such as to public libraries
  • Responsible for serving as transport officer for the Thabo Mofutsanyana District
  • Responsible for recording various statistical information obtained from public libraries
  • Responsible for computerising library material
  • Responsible for assets in storeroom and office as well as providing assistance with closing/opening of libraries in the district
  • Bethlehem (Library Service – District Office), ref. no: 3451/92

Successful applicant will perform the following key performance areas:

  • Check and unpack consignments (library materials)
  • Responsible for the issuing of library materials to public libraries
  • Take part in stock-taking activities
  • Responsible for computerising library materials and inter-filling library materials
  • Handle asset management in office
  • Provide help with the closing/opening of libraries in the district

 

  • Bloemfontein (Library Services), ref. no: 2104/2

Qualified applicant will be required to perform the following duties:

  • Responsible for the overall receiving of library materials from processing unit, and record keeping thereof
  • Responsible for packaging of and distributing new material to public libraries
  • Responsible for keeping record of amount of lists printed, boxes packed, delivered as well as linked bar codes and bar codes printed for new books in warehouse
  • Responsible for checking order detail against the invoices, and responsible for certifying correctness thereof
  • Responsible for preparing invoices for payment
  • Responsible for asset control
