Job Summary

The qualified applicant will be stationed at Eco Park (Centurion), Pretoria. In order to be eligible for the position, all candidates must be in possession of at least a Senior Certificate. This minimum educational qualification must be accompanied by either one of these qualifications:

  • A three year National Diploma or Degree with finance related subjects along with at least two years of experience in Finance Management field, or
  • At least three years of experience in Finance Management

Job Requirements:

Candidates must fulfil the following requirements in order to be fully eligible for the Finance Clerk Supervisor vacancy at Department of Defence:

  • Computer literacy

Key Performance Areas:

  • Help with formulation and overseeing compliance to internal policies, controls and operating procedures in line with PFMA as well as National Treasury Regulations
  • Assist with budgeting as well as budgeting control as performed at level 4, 3, and 2 along with preparing budget and budget control documentation
  • Assist with the FA process and approval of expenditure
  • Prepare cash flow reports for the client
  • Manage allocation of funds for the client
  • Take part in the BCC meetings
  • Prepare management reports for the client through IC reports and MS power point presentations
  • Assist with the executing of budgeting processes linked to the APP of the client as and when necessary
  • Capture budget estimates and motivations for the client
  • Administer cash purchase requisitions for the client
  • Assist with the administration of the authorisation of travel allowance and subsistence for the client in line with DOD policies and National Treasury instructions
